Please put this on your absolutely, must-do list for your time in BC. I am usually on the hunt for bike trails be it the Shore, Squamish, Whistler or Pemby and regularly pass some really cool stuff with the tunnel vision - including this - never again. There are two ways you can do this: Hike up or take the gondola up. I have done both.

The Hike: The hike is definitely a mission. Full on stair-stepper and it actually does take a couple of hours. I feel like the hiking time ratings are usually grossly over exaggerated and I was kinda thinking it would be the same for this but it was actually pretty long. We had a big crew and that slowed us down a bit but still. If you have the time (and fitness), this is a great way to do it. The hike is really pretty and you always feel good with some endorphins. You can walk down if you reallllly want to but I would say it is well worth the $10 to download in the gondola.

The Gondola: The gondola is quick! In a matter of minutes you can be at the top enjoying a beer on one of the best patios I have ever been to.  If you feel like moving there are some smaller hike options as well as some mega missions you can get to. At $40, it is a little pricey but so worth it.

At the top there is a restaurant, bar and food truck. A lot of people will pack their own food and buy a drink at the bar which is a great option. In the summer time they have live music and farmers markets so check the schedule. It seems like most people in Squamish have a seasons pass ($150ish) so they can just pop up after work with their picnic dinner and listen to music, hang out with friends.
